Maya Offer is a young Israeli silversmith who has reached her Bat-Mitzvah (maturity) in jewelry making. She graduated from the prestigious Jerusalem Beitzalel Academy of Arts in 1982. To further her vocation, she also studied at Middlesex Polytechnic Institute in England.

Maya works exclusively with silver, gold and semi-precious stones. Her inspiration is drawn from the picturesque Jerusalem mountains where she has established her studio and resides with her husband Udi Offer (painter and sculptor) and their three children. Maya incorporates some of her husband's art motifs in her eclectic designs, shaping her jewelry creations into veritable miniature sculptures.

Maya's collections have been exhibited at the finest galleries, museum shops and jewelry stores in Israel, Europe, South Africa, Australia and the United States.

In 1997, the Office of Israel's Prime Minister commisioned Maya to furnish it with her unique jewelry as gifts from the State of Israel to the official guests and dignitaries abroad such as Queen Nur of Jordan, the Queen of Holland and Mrs. Hillary Clinton. This year, her design was selected as the award pin by the National Women's Division of Israel Bonds.

Maya's jewels are featured at the following museums, galleries, fine jewelry stores and also mail order catalogs in the United States.
